Challenge
To design and develop a user-friendly booking system for tenants to find and instantly book apartments in many cities in Ukraine. To allow apartment owners control in every step of the renting process: from providing information about the flat to working with payments.
Solution
A web application for tenants that allows to:
- Register and manage own account.
- Fill in the guest form, to be later used for different apartments.
- Find apartments using the Search feature and multiple filter options.
- View detailed apartment info, including map location and calendar (with price and availability).
- Contact the apartment owner immediately to confirm booking or ask questions.
- Receive a list of alternative apartments (verified as available by the owners) in case the initial booking request has been rejected by the owner.
- Cancel booking and get a refund.
- View history of own bookings.
A web application for property owners that allows to:
- Create and manage the owner's profile with photo, personal data and banking information.
- Receive notifications after configuring them via Owner's Profile.
- Use apartment's calendar to set availability, prices and discounts for different dates, and the possibility to hide the apartment in tenant's search (if it is not available for any specific reason).
- Work with statistics.
- Export apartment's calendar to use it with other booking systems.
- See the inner-system rating of own registered apartments.
- View and manage bookings.
- Register new apartments in the Timedom system, using the step-by-step wizard: add photos, address details, conveniences, comments and important info/warnings; then submit the newly-added apartment for moderation.
Native iOS and Android applications written in Kotlin and Swift with the following functionality:
- Apartment calendar (apartment availability, price, discounts).
- Detailed list of bookings: new, reservations, active, history.
- Reservation management: accept/decline booking, check-in/check-out.

System Functionalities to build an online reservation system:
- Single/Multi Offer functionality that allows user to book the available apartment in a blink of an eye. There is no need to waste time on calling, waiting, and getting additional clarifications – the system will do everything automatically.
- Instant booking – a set of options for apartment booking, that doesn’t need a property owner’s confirmation.
- Payment system integration to deal will all the booking fees.
- Sms notifications engine.
- Dashboard – a separately created application, where the order information is displayed online.
- Scoring: property owner’s rating is based on their in-app activity. This rating affects the apartments` appearance rank in the search results.
- Automated info-calls system.
- Rent offers promotion during train ticket purchase.
